2020 Workshops

All workshops are postponed until the stay-at-home order is lifted.

Creative writing workshops are for beginning and seasoned writers, because writing is not for sissies—it's for everyone.

2020 Read, Critique, and Craft

Read, Critique, and Craft is an ongoing series of four-session workshops that blend read and critique with writing craft lessons. This workshops is for serious writers of fiction and creative nonfiction.

Each week, you'll share pages with a small group and learn from each other through guided critique, which serves as a platform for writing craft lessons as needed.

Workshopping writing is often challenging, but we do it anyway, to identity our compromises and make our writing more powerful. We respond not to what we know about a writer, not to the words a writer intends to put on the page, not to what's in a writer's heart, but to the words on the page. If we serve our purpose well, a writer's dripping, bloodied heart will end up on the page.
